Kansas City Big Slick unveils huge celebrity guest list for this weekend’s fundraiser – What should be happening is the hometown celebrity hosts — Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, Eric Stonestreet and David Koechner — and their guests would be playing softball at Kauffman Stadium, bowling at Pinstripes and cavorting onstage at the T-Mobile Center at the closing night auction. Instead, for the second year in a row, they’re putting all the entertainment online. They’re calling it the Big Slick Virtually Talented Show, streaming at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12, on Youtube.com/BigSlickKC and Facebook.com/BigSlickKC. Musical performers include Brothers Osborne, David Cook (the Blue Springs native who won “American Idol”), and Jay and Joe Don (of Rascal Flatts). – Read more at KansasCity.com
How ‘AGT’s’ Nightbirde Felt By Simon Cowell’s Reaction – “America’s Got Talent’s” Golden Buzzer Recipient, Nightbirde, is more than just a terminal cancer warrior. The singer won over America’s hearts on the hit show on Tuesday when she sang an original song about her recent battles called “It’s OK.” The performance scored her a golden buzzer from notoriously firm judge, Simon Cowell. Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans caught up with the singer, who said the song was something she herself needed to hear. In 2020,
Nightbirde was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given six months to live. Two weeks later, she said, her husband left her. “It was amazing that I found the healing that I found, but in the midst of it I had never felt so lost,” she said. The moving performance left the judges and the audience in awe. “It felt like I wasn’t the only one up there…that is what was so spiritual about it…it was about the triumph of the human spirit.”

Howie Mandel Opens Up About His ‘Painful’ Struggle with Anxiety and OCD – Howie Mandel has been living with severe anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder for nearly his entire life, but for the America’s Got Talent judge, every day is still a struggle. “I’m living in a nightmare,” says Mandel, 65, who first exhibited symptoms of his OCD – repetitive and intrusive thoughts and fixations, often brought on by his debilitating fear of germs – as a child. “I try to anchor myself. I have a beautiful family and I love what I do. But at the same time, I can fall into a dark depression I can’t get out of,” he tells PEOPLE for one of this week’s cover stories. – Read more at People.com
