Radio giant Cumulus plans country American Idol-type talent show – Cumulus Media head honcho Lew Dickey is looking to find new country stars by launching an “American Idol”-style online and on-air music competition, called NASH Next, and signing the winners to his newest record label. Cumulus owns Country Weekly magazine and has TV partnerships with Music Choice and concert streamer Qello. – Read more at The New York Post

‘America’s Got Talent’ semi-finalist releasing teaser EP ‘Dark Tales’ on Aug. 21, new album in 2016 – Andrew De Leon, operatic goth dude from the 2012 edition of AGT has signed a label deal for his second album, Dark Tales. A three-song teaser EP will be available Aug. 21 on iTunes from Standby Records (Black Veil Brides and As Blood Runs Black.)
