Singapore Press Still Debating Adam Lambert New Years Appearance – There’s this: “If one has read and understood the petition against his performance, one would see that his sexual orientation was not the main issue. Rather, the main concern was over his controversial performance history, fraught with lewd and sexualised acts, which would be inappropriate for Celebrate 2016.” and This: “Mediacorp’s decision to include singer Adam Lambert in the concert line-up is admirable. It reflects a spirit of inclusiveness (“Adam Lambert’s sexual identity should not be an issue in show”; Dec 5). I trust Mediacorp will not fail in its obligation to conform to the broadcast regulations of the Media Development Authority (MDA).” From TodayOnline HERE and HERE respectively.

Carrie Underwood Hosts a Baby Shower – It was 10 years ago when Carrie Underwood first popped up on baker Ivey Childers’ radar, all thanks to a hair stylist. Childers designed Underwood’s spectacular cupcake tower for her wedding to hockey star Mike Fisher, so it was only appropriate that Underwood and Fisher return the favor to celebrate one of Childers’ biggest milestones: the expected arrival of a beautiful baby girl. Last week, Fisher and Underwood threw quite the unconventional shower in honor of Childers and her little one at exclusive hot-spot Citizen, in the trendy Gulch area of Nashville. Friends and family enjoyed cocktails, karaoke, a photo booth with hilarious masks and props and even one of IveyCake’s own massive cupcake towers with a topper bearing the baby girl’s name, Leona. – Photos at CMT.com

Breaking Up to Making Up: Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd’s Love Story – All About the Dancing with the Stars Duo’s Surprise Engagement – It was not love at first sight for Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd. “I thought he was arrogant,” Murgatroyd says in the current issue of PEOPLE of meeting her future fiancé in 2009 when they were both cast in the Broadway production of Burn the Floor. “Okay, that’s a defense mechanism. I think she was in love with me at first sight and just doesn’t want to admit it,” former Dancing with the Stars pro Chmerkovskiy retorts with a smile to his bride-to-be. “No, I walked in the way I walk in and … it’s just a lot of presence.” – Read more at People.com
