Headlines: Chayce Beckhams Talks Guitars, Kelly Clarkson Goes to Disney World

Chayce Beckham Meets the EF360SC-TT – Armed with a discerning ear and a straight edge to check action and neck angles, Beckham auditioned numerous 6 strings of various makes and models before finally spotting it – a noticeably darker spruce-topped dreadnought cutaway perched high on the wall, well out of reach. “Can I try that one” he asked. The guitar was lowered to floor level and Beckham was introduced to the Takamine EF360SC-TT. For every episode of American Idol that followed, Chayce Beckham and his EF360SC-TT were a performance team, looking and sounding as though they had been together forever. The new Tak had become his old favorite. – Read more at Takamine.com

Makin’ Tracks: Gabby Barrett Uses a ‘Moon’ Shot to Propel Her Immediate Future – “Footprints” is, appropriately, an example of perseverance. Songwriter Jon Nite (“Break Up in the End,” “Living”) brought up the title periodically during co-writing sessions for at least a year — more likely two or three — but it never quite connected with everyone in the room. “It’s such an odd concept, but I think that every country boy who was sitting in the truck looking up and staring up at the stars and seeing the moon at night — I mean, it’s crazy to think that some human in 1969 walked on the moon,” he says. “If we can do that with the limited technology we had back in the ’60s and no microprocessors, I feel like we can kind of do anything.” – Read more at Billboard

Catching Up With Laine Hardy on Music, Touring, and Life Since ‘American Idol’ – “It’s changed a lot. I’m busy working on music, touring, releasing songs, doing a lot of press and interviews and stuff. It’s pretty cool,” says Hardy. “And songwriting, being able to write songs with some cool songwriters…It’s been awesome.” When it comes to songwriting, that is a craft that Hardy really took the opportunity to dive into after winning American Idol. “I came to Nashville a few months after I won, in June 2019 and I stayed here ‘til like September. So, I was writing Monday to Friday, every day with all kind of songwriters. It was awesome.” – Read more at Sounds Like Nashville

Kelly Clarkson Takes Her Kids to Disney World

Kelly and her kids Remington (4) and River Rose (6) had some fun at Disney World in Orlando FL. “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for,” Kelly said referring to the Star Wars Storm Troopers behind her from the Rise of the Resistance ride. “We had so much fun at Disney World! All the rides were amazing but oh my gosh, y’all, Pandora and the Star Wars rides are where it’s at! Thank you for a magical vacation, Disney.”
