American Idol to highlight Elvis Festival – “Soul music is in right now and it’s cool to sing, but it’s what comes out of me naturally. If I’m singing gospel music, or I’m singing country music, or I’m singing pop music, I sing it soulfully,” he insists. “That’s just how it comes out. Carrie Underwood Fan Hospitalized After Singing Too Hard – A Carrie Underwood fan in Canada was hospitalized because he sang too much, too hard. The Storyteller Tour stopped at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on May 27. A short time later “Bernard” was hospitalized. The 22-year-old fan met Underwood before the show, and tweeted about several of his favorite moments from the set. He’s obviously a big, big fan, and the singer personally reached out after hearing of his medical emergency. “What the what?!” she tweeted. I hope you’re alright! It was great to get to see you! David Cook visits Sioux Falls for performance at the Pavilion – “I get a good experience in the venues, hotels and airports. I got a chance to walk around and I like it so far.. I’ve always enjoyed that aspect of touring. Waking up a new city, today was no exception,” David Cook said. June 1st marks Cook’s first visit to Sioux Falls. “We try to do something different every night. We try not to play the same set-list. Make things unique. The Voice Season 3 Winner Cassadee Pope on Her New ‘Summer’ Song – There is something memorable about summer songs, possibly because it’s such an enjoyable time of our lives — and for 2016, Cassadee Pope is adding her own personal musical touch to the season with the release of her Summer EP on June 3. The Season 3 winner of The Voice wrote three of the songs, including the title track, and shot the Summer video in her native Florida at Clearwater Beach. “I wanted to write a song that’s basically relatable for anybody who’s been through a summer romance and make it more of a reminiscing song and less about what’s happening right now,” Pope told Parade.com in this exclusive interview. “For me, summer romances, they can be powerful and they can be really passionate and beautiful, but they can end just as quickly as they began.” – Read more at Parade

America’s Got Talent: Kiwi comedian Boy With Tape On His Face gets standing ovation – The Boy with Tape on His Face has won over one of Hollywood’s harshest – Simon Cowell – who described the Kiwi’s act as “brilliant” following his audition on America’s Got Talent this week.
The Canterbury performer, whose real name is Sam Wills, received a standing ovation and a unanimous “yes” from judges Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel Brown. Wills started his performing career as a busker in Christchurch and won the The Press People’s Choice Award at the World Buskers Festival in 2008. He used the prize money to develop his hit show The Boy with Tape on his Face, which sold out around the world and attracted dozens of five star reviews. Wills has packed theatres in Britain, enjoyed several sellout runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and performed at the Royal Albert Hall.
