‘American Idol’ contestant Brianna Collichio vows to keep singing, working toward her dreams – Brianna, who has cystic fibrosis, also has received at least 100 emails from fans and accumulated scores of new social-media followers and friends. Not long ago, a fire broke out near where she lives in Spencerport. A group of firefighters stopped at her home to check on her because of her chronic health condition, which causes lung infections and limits her ability to breathe. “They were like, ‘Oh my gosh, congratulations.’ They knew,” Brianna said.
