Trevor McBane auditions for ‘American Idol’ – McBane graduated from Savanna High School in 2014 before earning a degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 2017. He started his singing career as a junior in high school and has performed the national anthem at sporting events in the area. McBane also won the inaugural McAlester STAR competition in March 2014 for his rendition of the traditional spiritual song “Wayfaring Stranger.” Legendary country music singer Roy Clark was one of five judges for the competition, which McBane told the News-Capital at the time “was unbelievable.” – Read more at McAlesterNews.com
