Headlines: Bonnaroo Canceled, Carrie Underwood, Tori Kelly Dear Evan Hansen

Bonnaroo Canceled Due to “Waterlogged” Festival Grounds Amid Hurricane Ida – The Bonnaroo Music Festival, scheduled to begin on Thursday, has been canceled due to Hurricane Ida’s heavy rain impacting the festival’s grounds in Manchester, Tennessee. Festival organizers announced the cancellation on Tuesday afternoon, writing on social media, “We are absolutely heartbroken to announce that we must cancel Bonnaroo. While this weekend’s weather looks outstanding, currently Centeroo is waterlogged in many areas, the ground is incredibly saturated on our tollbooth paths, and the campgrounds are flooded to the point that we are unable to drive in or park vehicles safely.” – Via Hollywood Reporter. Lionel Richie Teams Up with Tyra Banks to Launch New Ice Cream Flavor ‘All Night Love’ – If your idea of a successful Friday evening is snacking all night long, then you’ll want to get your hands on All Night Love—the latest flavor from Tyra Banks’ SMiZE ice cream brand. In collaboration with “All Night Long” crooner Lionel Richie, the duo has created a limited-edition flavor with ice cream scientist (who has, perhaps, the coolest job ever) Dr. Maya Warren. The result: a vanilla ice cream base with midnight cookie crumble swirls, salted caramel ribbons and milk chocolate-covered fudge hearts to pay homage to the American Idol judge’s repertoire of famous love songs. – Read more at People

Lauren Alaina Reveals How ‘Struggles With Depression’ Inspired Her Personal New Album (Exclusive) – “The title track is a song called ‘On Top of the World’ and the hook of the song is, ‘Hitting rock bottom, sitting pretty on top of the world.’ And I wrote it about my struggles with depression,” Alaina reveals. “I was out for a walk. It was when the whole world was shut down, and the only thing I could do is walk in front of my house basically, and I was there thinking about all of the things that I have been able to do and all of the blessings that I have had and how I should have been the happiest girl in the world, but I was drowning in all these emotions,” she recalls. “I am an empath, so I feel all of the other people’s feelings and there was so much sadness in the world.” – Watch the video at Entertainment Tonight

Laci Kaye Booth Learned To Shut Out Her Nerves While On ‘American Idol’ – Laci Kaye Booth just released her debut collection earlier this month, so she stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to share some stories behind the project as well as talk about her time on American Idol. Booth got her start on American Idol, and admitted that she would often get nervous whenever she heard “we’re live!” But she learned how to shut out her nerves and just focus on performing. Though music isn’t foreign to her, music runs in her blood. Her dad is also a country artist, she says he’s a Texas country guy. But Booth doesn’t consider her music to be Texas country, she actually calls it “Dream Country.” She says one of her influences in that realm is Kacey Musgraves. – iHeart.com
