She is predicted to hold onto that lead for the final chart (not hard to believe with double the number 2 album’s sales right now) and finish with a mere 48K in sales. In July. Sigh. I don’t even want to know. Somewhere, record execs take another slug of vodka straight from the bottle.
British sensation, Sam Smith, currently at 7th is predicted to take second place with 40K (glug) while Frozen continues to stay in the top 10 for 3rd with 35K (ugh!). Trey, last week’s number one, is predicted finish this sad top 4 with 30K in sales. Rockers Judas Priest have a new album out and they might sell in the 30K range as well (where is that damn bottle?).
Now 50 features Idol’s Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepsen and is currently at 4th. Nashville Star’s Miranda Lambert is at 5th and also features Idol Carrie Underwood on one of her tracks. Also from country is Brantley Gilbert followed by the guy that’s at the center of a British storm about influential artists as deemed by the BBC’s Urban station (Mr. Ed. Sheeran). Finally, we have Crosby Stills Nash and Young still showing some mojo in 2014 with a top 10 finish – at least for now.
Phillip Phillips is 39th while various judges are 26th, 39th and 41st. Now 49 features One Direction and it is at 33rd.
