With 31.77% of the market reporting, Idols are pretty thin on the ground. As usual, Jason Aldean’s album which features a cross-over duet with Kelly Clarkson is in the top 10 (this week at number 6). Meanwhile, over on Country, Carrie’s duet with Brad is about to top that chart and this is helping to propel his album to 26th. And that’s that for Idols.
Other shows being covered by this blog feature Blake Shelton (Voice judge) at 16, Jackie Evancho (2nd place on last year’s AGT) at 21 and Glee 3D (flop-tastic movie from egomaniac) at 23rd.
Another thing somewhat lacking in this week’s top 10? Debuts. The highest debut this week is from Blue October with their “Any Man in America” coming in 9th. Jay-Z & Kanye West continue to dominate the chart for their second week at number one. Adele lurks like a watchful shark just below the surface at number 2…waiting to reclaim her Number 1 status any week now. Now, Now 39 is third. The child’s karaoke version of Now, Kidz Bop 20, is right behind Now at number 4. Luke Bryan stays in the top 5 for his second week and Beyonce is at 7th. Eric Church is 8th (bringing the number of Country albums in the top 10 to 3) and Lady Gaga returns to the top 10 to round it out.
