Guide to New Year’s Eve 2022 TV Specials: Ryan Seacrest to Miley Cyrus

(ABC/Gavin Bond)

Are you staying in for New Years Eve 2021? Here’s a guide to New Year’s Eve television specials on broadcast TV. Each network is airing a New Years Eve program. Except for FOX, who cancelled their New Years Eve Toast and Roast amid the rising spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant (Kind of ironic that only FOX is nixing their special due to Covid, Hm.) Ken Jeong and Joel McHale were due to host.

But everything else is on, although the New Years celebration at Times Square in New York City has been scaled back, and several celebrities set to perform have dropped out due to testing positive for the virus.

Here are the deets:

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party – NBC

OOPSY DOODLE. NBC tossed Carson Daly and his The Voice adjacent team to hand the New Year’s Eve reins over to SNL veteran Lorne Michaels. Carson’s involvement with NBC’s New Year’s Eve party goes back to the aughts when he was known for that Late Late Late show that nobody watched. The idea, probably, is to attract a younger audience than NY Rockin’ Eve. Check out the details below.

The special will air live on NBC from Miami and will be hosted by Miley Cyrus and Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson. Musical guests include: Brandi Carlile, Billie Joe Armstrong, Saweetie, Anitta, Jack Harlow, 24kGoldn, Kitty Ca$h

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party airs Friday, Dec. 31 from 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET and will also be live-streamed on Peacock.???????
