Lea “shares her experiences and insider tips on beauty, fashion, inner strength, and more in an illustrated book that’s part memoir, part how-to, and part style guide.”
“A practical and inspirational guide to harnessing tenacity and passion,” reads the pre-order promo blurb, “Brunette Ambition is about living the fullest life, no matter what obstacles life puts in your way.”
Just days before her co-star and boyfriend, Cory Monteith died of a drug and alcohol overdose last July 13, Lea tweeted excitedly about penning some fun Glee anecdotes. At the time, she was also looking over photographs to decide which shot would be the cover.
Lea stopped talking up the book after Cory’s death. I’m sure she had to re-write parts of it due to the 180 degree turn her life suddenly took. Good for her that she finished. The book may not be the upbeat story Lea originally envisioned, but sharing how she dealt with her loss in what was undoubtedly the most difficult year of her life, will help people who are going through the same experience.
