Glee – “Special Education” – Videos and Recap

Glee heads to SECTIONALS tonight!  I’ll be back with videos and a little commentary…

Not what I was expecting at all from the Sectionals episode. It was a little contrived (because Emma makes a suggestion, you revamp your whole program? Really?) but I really enjoyed hearing some of the secondary characters sing for a change.

Tonight’s plot was about shaking things up and making adjustments. Rachel, Kurt and Mercedes had to let go of their egos a bit. And Brittany had to find her confidence.  Loved Santana’s soulful “Valerie” number.  More from her, please. I liked “Dog Days” too.

How long before Kurt’s back at McKinley High? Those boys at Dalton are nice, but completely boring and humor-free.  Oh, and I’m betting Kurt brings Blaine with him.  Maybe the new kid’s parents will suffer some sort of financial set back that sends him back to public school.

Oh, and can somebody please explain to me WHY Kurt hasn’t talked to Finn since the wedding? Don’t they live together now that their parents are married? Confuzzled. And I bet Rachel and Finn don’t stay split up for long.  Finn will get over it.  Besides, who is he going to date otherwise? Just about everybody else is taken (Mercedes?)

Emma’s quicky marriage to hot dentist was a bit of a surprise. Maybe in a few weeks she’ll get a quicky divorce.  She and Will have to get together somehow, don’t they?

Honestly, I thought New Directions wiped the floor with the Warblers, but a tie brings Blaine, Kurt and New Directions back together for one more showdown.  Yeah…did I mention the plot is contrived?
