A cracky Glee two parter, featuring Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) as over the top as she has ever been, concludes tonight (Jan 30) with Episode 5, The Hurt Locker Pt 2.
If you thought last week’s secret storage locker of hate, and furtive Klaine shipping was bizarre. Just wait! The crazy ain’t over yet!
This week, Sue continues to scheme, determined, like any Klaine shipper worth her salt (or cray-cray), to get the former lovers back together again. To that end, she traps Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) in a fake elevator, and basically terrorizes them with a Saw-like character named JigSue, until the couple agrees to kiss.

In this clip, Blaine and Kurt discover what they assume is a brand new elevator at McKinley (YAY NO MORE STAIRS). The two are headed to the auditorium to watch Blaine’s club, The Warblers, perform as part of an “invitational” organized by Sue, that also includes Vocal Adrenaline, and New Directions. Except, not. In a nice touch, there’s a bathroom installed off to the side, in order to make the boys comfortable for a really long siege.
How does Sue install a fake elevator with a bathroom at the school, in like, a day? That nobody notices? HOW DOES SHE NOT GET ARRESTED? Oh right. It’s Glee! Alternate Universes for the win. And probably a whole lotta drugs in the writers’ room.

And what will Blaine and Kurt be missing? Here are The Warblers singing that 80’s smash “My Sharona” by The Knack. Yes, they skip the dirtiest lyrics, in this version that’s only 60 seconds long. How is it again, that New Directions get to sing multiple, full songs, while the competition perform what amounts to snippets? THAT’S RIGHT IT’S GLEE!!!!

It’s not just you. That does sound completely insane.
