More Glee casting! And it’s kind of genius. TV Guide reports that Don Most and Valerie Mahaffey will play Rusty and Rose Pillsbury, the parents of guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays).
Don Most, or Donny Most as many of you might remember him, played the geeky Ralph Malph in the 70’s sitcom, Happy Days. Valerie Mahaffey, according to TV Guide, “has received an Emmy nomination for her supporting role as Eve on Northern Exposure and has a history of playing seemingly normal but rather intense (read: crazy) redheaded ladies…”
Ha! Perfect ginger casting.
Emma’s parents will be introduced in Glee 3×03, otherwise known as “Asian F”. Mike Chang’s (Harry Shrum Jr.) parents will also be introduced in Episode 3. The spoiler synopsis reveals “When a worried Will wonders why Emma has yet to introduce him to her parents, Coach Beiste encourages him to take the initiative…Will worries that Emma is embarrassed by him.” Hm.
