Glee Season 3 Spoilers: Chris Colfer Dish, Mike Chang’s Parents Casted

Glee Season 3 update!

Entertainment Weekly reports that Tamlyn Tomita (The Joy Luck Club) and Keong Sim (The Last Airbender) have been cast to play Mike Chang’s (Harry Shrum, Jr.) parents. The couple will be introduced in Episode 3 airing Oct. 4. According to spoilers, the episode is titled “Asian F”.

Speaking of Episode titles, Episode 4, directed by Adam Shankman is reportedly titled “Pot o’ Gold”.

The title is appropriate–Glee Project winner, Damian McGinty, will be introduced for his 7 story arc in episode 4, playing an exchange student named Rory who moves in with Brittany’s (Heather Morris’) family.   Glee producers are also casting Brittany’s mom.

According to Damian’s tweets, he began work on Glee episode 4 this week.

Max Adler, who plays bully Dave Karovsky tweeted today that he has NOT been on the Glee set yet.   No word yet on when last season’s bullying storyline will be picked up again.

Spoilers from TV Line

Do you have any hints on what’s to come on the new season of Glee, especially for Santana and Brittany, separately or together? The word around McKinley is that Brittany will make a serious run for class president. And in potentially related news, I hear there’s an intriguing/hilarious story behind this photo, and we’ll find out what it is in Episode 2.

(Episode 2 is called “I Am Unicorn)

Beggars can’t be choosers, so I’ll take any Glee scoop you can spare. A new glee club provides fresh competish for New Directions — and this particular group is much closer to home.

Finally,   a semi-spoilery interview with Chris Colfer from Entertainment Weekly.   He’s already made a trip to the hospital–his 5th–after attempting some fancy exotic dancing during the big cafeteria scene seen in the Glee promos. Some exerpts:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So what can you say about Kurt this season? Can you tease a little?   Well he hasn’t really been teased too much so far. He’s still dealing the same issues he always is, the gay kids are constantly facing in high school. Those are still with him.

Oh I don’t mean if Kurt is being teased. I mean can you tease his storyline a bit? [Laughs] He is entering a new area of school, or attempting [to enter] into a new area of school and responsibility that we have not seen him enter yet.

Like a new club?
Yes. Maybe. Ha.

It felt like Kurt and Rachel really bonded in the New York season finale. Are they still on good terms as this season starts? Yeah. I’d say they’ve definitely graduated into best friends. I think they’re really, really close.

Can you say anything about the premiere? Where are New Directions now that they’ve lost Nationals? They’re definitely still disappointed that they had that loss. But they’re still ready to start again. I think the first episode really sets the rest of the season up. I think it gives a very good game plan of where we’re going with each of the characters this season.

Chris says he would love to continue the story of Kurt in a spinoff. “I would love to move on with this character in some way, just selfishly for my own sake, to see how he grows and the person he becomes. So I’d love to move on with him.”
