The Glee kids cover David Bowie’s “Fashion” to promote Vogue’s Fashion Night Out, with the full-length video debuting during tonight’s “Born This Way” re-run on FOX. The full video has made it’s way online. Watch it below.
If I’m being perfectly honest, I’m not crazy about Bowie being cheesed up show-choir style. I mean, do they not get this song is about the tyranny of fashion–turning it’s followers into slaves? It’s not exactly a celebration. But, hey. Bowie cleared the song, and that’s all that matters, I guess.
Glossing over the minor details, lets look at the video. Oh look. Kevin McHale (Artie) isn’t wheelchair bound! That means the kids aren’t in character. If they were, Kurt (Chris Colfer), as McKinley’s resident fashionista, would have been front and center. (OH, but check out that FIERCE LOOK Chris throws to TV boyfriend, Darren Criss. HOT).
Bonus: We get one last look at Chord Overstreet, who has left Glee to make albums and guest star on The Middle. And Jane Lynch! Nuff said.
Noticeably absent: Naya Rivera and Amber Riley. Sadz.
PS: The clothes are…nice.
