“I really like being a mom,” Gabby told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ahead of leaving the Jason Aldean tour for maternity leave. “It’s my favorite thing that I am blessed to be able to do and it’s my No. 1 priority, so, really, anytime I’m not on the stage I’m definitely momming.”
Gabby and Cade met on American Idol
Soon after leaving American Idol, Gabby signed a record contract with Warner Brothers Nashville. She dropped an album Goldmine, followed by a Deluxe version. It features her 5x Platinum single “I Hope,” plus the Platinum three-week #1 “The Good Ones, and third single, “Footprints on the Moon.”
Reigning atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for a record-breaking 27 weeks, “I Hope” was also the first debut single by a solo female artist to top the Country radio charts since 2017 and made her the youngest artist with a #1 debut at Country radio in over two decades.
Gabby is working on her next album
Currently, the singer is working on her sophomore follow-up to Goldmine. “It’s not on the back burner at all right now,” she said of the new record. “We’ve been focusing on it a lot throughout the summer and planning for that before going on maternity leave. We should have a lot of the second album done by the end of next month (September). That’s something to look forward to.”
