  1. God be kind and do not allow dramatic shoulder pads to make a comeback ??

  2. Is it just me or is her pronunciation really wonky? I don’t remember it being like that on Idol. That being said, it’s really fun seeing an Idol 2.0 alum doing so well!

  3. I was wondering if she doesn’t feel great due to pregnancy because the last 2 performances I’ve seen of her doing this her pronunciation is all mushy/slurry and the performances lacked a certain energy and spark. I don’t follow her (or country music — just happened to have the channel this was on last night) but i recall her Idol performances as having more spark and not being so slurry….I just chalked it up to pregnancy exhaustion

  4. Her pronunciation has always been a bit wonky but I think it’s gotten a bit wonkier. Her range has improved since idol though and the last few performances don’t reflect that due to her pregnancy probably with a bit of a lack of breath control

  5. Yeah, it was very hard to make out the words and I know them. Plus her accent seemed very strong and somewhat nasally. On the other hand, I thought th video for “I Hope” was really well done and deserved to win the Breakout Award, so I’m glad it did.

  6. I think that was a misguided attempt to take focus away from her belly, not a fashion trend.

  7. Aww, I like shoulder pads and wish they’d make a comeback (says the woman with no shoulders to speak of)! But the overly-dramatic, let’s-look-like-a-football-player shoulder pads, a la Joan Collins in Dynasty? Those shoulder pads I could live without. But a modest shoulder pad to create a nice shoulder outline? I miss those. The few clothes with shoulder pads from the 1990s that I still have are starting to wear out.

  8. Cade found his meal ticket. Dude would be nothing without her, just another Idol with no record deal that no one remembers.
