Von’s pre-Idol claim-to-fame is an over-the-top You Tube performance of …And I Am Telling You that went viral, leading to appearances on The View and BET 106 and Park. Oddly, Von wasn’t called out–even by Simon– on his histrionic rendition of “Over The Rainbow” from his Kansas City audition.
I suppose Simon was saving it for Hollywood, where he described Von’s over bearing vocal stylings as “indulgent nonsense.” Will Von tone it down as the competition heats up? I think he’ll have to, if he wants to advance. My Space, Video1, Video2, Video3, Video4, Video5
