Last November, singer, Fantasia Barrino, posted a mysterious instagram photo of her finger with a ring on it. The American Idol season 3 winner never came out and established the status of her relationship with Kendall Taylor. Some outlets assumed the two were wed, but neither an engagement or wedding were ever officially confirmed. Is the couple married? Fantasia refers to Kendall as her husband on Instagram photos. Yet, she posted this week that she’s getting ready for her wedding day, set for Saturday.
“I know @sosonya15 BOUT TO KILL me today for my Big Wedding Day on SATURDAY,” posted Fantasia, pre-workout, earlier this week. “OMG!!! I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN FOR ME… Im going to stay Tight and Right for him.. Mr. Taylor.. You guys I’m so happy and excited…”
However, in this photo, posted 3 weeks ago, Fantasia refers to Taylor as her husband. “This song in our hearts remains high above gossip of those who couldn’t walk a mile in our shoes. No one lied. No one cheated. No one broke a single vow. What we learned was to keep those who aren’t for us out of our marriage. As our love grows stronger, our circle grows smaller. So we continue to sing and laugh at those who tried to come between what God alone brought together. Yes we Sing! Even though my Husband is a little out of tune! Lol”
Back in April, there was gossip that Fantasia and Kendall were married, but had split up. Around the time Fantasia’s grandmother died, she posted, “It is done. … The kids and I will always love you. I got to stay strong for Granny. … He was the best man I knew. Kendall you are loved.”
Maybe the weekend wedding Fantasia referred to is a commitment ceremony for her friends and family. If the first wedding was a quickie, maybe they want to do it up right with a big party. I’m sure Fantasia will instagram the news, whatever it is.
