According to Jawn Murray of Blackvoices.com, Season 3 winner, Fantasia will be hitting the road this summer in the touring company of The Color Purple.
Despite being dogged in the press for the amount of absences she had during her Broadway run in ‘The Color Purple, ‘ BV Buzz has has learned exclusively that season three ‘American Idol’ winner Fantasia will return to the Oprah Winfrey-produced musical.
Beginning this summer, Fantasia will resume her role as Celie and embark on a three month run with the show, kicking off at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on June 30. She will also play dates with ‘The Color Purple’ when the show travels to Chicago and Atlanta as well.
If this show comes to your town go see it. I saw Fantasia on Broadway, and she was fabulous.

You may recall that due to defaulting on a loan, Fantasia’s house was scheduled to be auctioned off, but was taken off just days before the scheduled date.
Now, the National Enquirer is reporting that Simon Cowell paid off Fantasia’s loans, keeping her house from going into foreclosure.
