Are you experiencing Empire withdrawals? On April 11, Taraji P. Henson, who plays the fierce and fabulous Cookie Lyon on the FOX breakout hit, will be hosting Saturday Night Live. But in the meantime, enjoy this featurette from FOX, which is put together like a “Behind the Music” Special.
What’s cool about it, is that the video, part 1 of a series called “Inside Track”, offers backstory to the Lyon family saga that wasn’t revealed on the show.
For instance, we see how and when Cookie and Lucious met, and exactly how she engineered and was the driving force of Lucious’ (Terrence Howard) wild success. And did we know Cookie was pregnant with Andre before they were married? There are interviews with Vernon and Bunkie (obviously before they died) and Cookie’s sister Carol.
