Just HOW obsessed are YOU with the new musical drama, Empire, from FOX. I AM TOTALLY OBSESSED! So much so, that I can’t wait for any scrap of news about the upcoming episode. I’ve got a few spoilery details from Episode 4, titled “False Imposition” for you from FOX!

Check out the photo gallery below, where we learn that Lucious tells Anika that he has ALS (!!!), Cookie takes over Anika’s business meeting (SURPRISE. Not), and we get a good look at Jamal’s new (crappy) apartment. BUT AT LEAST HE’S FREE! And there are guns. Something goes down, as you can see Lucious protect Anika, covered on the floor, with a gun in his hand.

In a new preview video, we’re given a little more detail on what we can expect when “False Imposition” airs next Wednesday, January 28, at 9/8c pm on FOX.

The next episode is when everything gets even MORE complicated, says Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyon. “There’s just SO many secrets and so many lies.” Jussie adds, “This is the point where they slowly begin to choke on all that dirt.”

When the detective on the Bunkie murder case confronts Lucious with the timeline of the murder, Andre provides an alibi for his father. No doubt, attempting to curry favor with him. Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious Lyon, suggests that it could lead to a “very bad ending.”

That meeting Cookie crashes depicted in the production still? She’s there to announce that in addition to managing Jamal, she’ll also be handling Tiana’s career. Anika can’t be very happy about THAT.

Terrance suggests that Lucious entrusts his ex-wife to steer the career of the rising star, Tiana, because he realizes that Cookie still has it. “She’s the real Cookie Monster,” says Terrance, “She realizes how to bring out the monster in anyone.”

Meanwhile, Lucious has not forgotten about Barretti, who stole two of his main artists, including Kidd Fo-Fo. As Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie Lyon explains, Lucious is going to “get him where it hurts” by getting Barretti’s biggest client, an artist named Titan.

“Lucious wants to save Titan from the monster that Barretti is,” explains Terrence. “Titan has the potential to be the next Lucious. He’d rather have him on his team than against him.”

Barretti threatens Lucious. If Empire goes public, the rival will dig up the dirt from Lucious’ past and “bury your empire and everyone in it.”

The last clip in the preview has Lucious and his family ducking for cover as glass shatters from gunfire. EEP!
