Emmy Awards 2013 Nominations

The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Award nominations were announced Thursday (July 18) in Los Angeles. The show will air on ABC on Sunday September 22.

Once again, American Idol was snubbed in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program Category–just like last year. But this year, it’s not a surprise. Ryan Seacrest is once again nominated for Outstanding Host. And Glee got a little more love than usual, with nominations in the Guest Actress, Supporting Actress (Jane Lynch was NOT nominated last year) and Directing categories (For Diva? Hm).

So You Think You Can Dance earned 7 Emmy noms! Congrats Nigel Lythgoe. That must remove the sting of being fired from Idol, at least a little bit.
