Tuesday night (Sept 22) ratings:

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars ratings won in the 18-49 demo, with a 1.1 rating and 6.09 viewers. The special Tuesday night episode was down down from 1.3 and 8.12 million for its premiere on Sept. 14.

Meanwhile, America’s Got Talent ticked up 1/10th from last week, from a 0.7 in the key demo to a 0.8. The live shows have been keeping more or less in the 0.6-0.8 range demo-wise. DWTS and Big Brother routinely outperform AGT in the demo. However, the show did earn the most viewers last night (6.6 million viewers, 5.94 last week). Total viewers was the best across all of Nielsen-measured TV in primetime and a six-week high for the show. However, AGT is down, WAY down compared to last season’s final performance show. (1.6 18-49 and 9.88 million viewers).

However, an NBA playoff game on TNT led all the broadcast networks in the 18-49 demo.
