So You Think You Can Dance 12 goes out with a whimper. Last night’s finale notched a .8 in the demo and less than 3 million viewers. My hopes aren’t up for the show returning next summer. Dancing with the Stars returned to lower number vs last year, but only by 1/10th. If the numbers are adjusted up this afternoon, it could be even or better.. The numbers may adjust down due to football preemptions.

On ABC, the 21st season premiere of Dancing with the Stars earned a 2.3, down a tenth from it’s last September premiere 2.4 adults 18-49 rating.
On FOX, So You Think You Can Dance notched a 0.8, up a tenth from last week’s 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.
