Dancing with the Stars 32 Unveils New Photos of co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough
Dancing with the Stars will feature a new co-hosting team for season 32. Julianne Hough, former DWTS pro and judge will join current host Alfonso Ribeiro when the new season starts. ABC/Disney recently posted new photos of the pair on their press site. Check out the gallery below.
Julianne takes over for three season host Tyra Banks who parted ways with the show earlier this year. It’s Alfonso’s second season at the helm. When Alfonso hosted with Tyra last season, he interviewed the contestants in the sky box, while Tyra stood on the floor with the contestants in front of the judges as they waited for their scores. Julianne will now take over skybox duties while Alfonso serves as the main host, waiting alongside the couples on the floor.

Additionally, it’s looking more and more like Tuesday September 26 is the DWTS premiere date. It’s very weird that ABC has not announced the date so close to the premiere. DWTS Insider Kristyn Burtt has heard the Sept 26, and she notes on Tik Tok that the date is listed on Disney+ Canada.

It’s worth noting that the Writers and Screen Actors Guild strikes are ongoing and have turned network schedules into chaos. Maybe ABC is holding back announcing a date in case the network has to change it. Only a few days ago, FOX and CW tweaked their fall schedules. Kristyn likely has the correct date, but unusual circumstances COULD change Disney/ABCs plans. So watch for that!
Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC after one year streaming on Disney+ only. It’s a change that might well be attributed to the writers and actors strike, which has left networks and streamers scrambling to fill their schedules with non scripted content.
