Dancing With The Stars 20 Semi-Final Results Live Blog (VIDEOS)

At the top of last night’s extremely strong Dancing With The Stars Top 4 Performance Show, Tom reminded us all that at EACH of the final couples had, at some point in the competition, led the pack for the first time in the show’s history. Tonight, one of those four will say goodbye to the ballroom, in the final cut before the FINALE!

Remember that time Dancing With The Stars became The Bachelor? We do – a recap of Noah Galloway’s proposal to now-finance Jamie is shown, and Tom insists he had no idea it was coming. Fun Fact: Riker Lynch actually knew the proposal was coming because Noah asked him if it would be alright for him to take that moment right before Riker’s performance! Unfortunately, however, Noah Galloway and partner Shanna Burgess are the first to learn they are IN JEOPARDY.

There’s a special performance from The Almay Simply American Experience Bus Tour, which raises money for military women and their families. Witney Carson, Jenna Johnson, Lindsay Arnold, Artem Chigvintsev, and Allen Bersten join a troupe of guest dancers perform a Mandy Moore routine to perform a medley of hits that evoke the spirit of America, including “Rockin In The USA” by John Mellencamp.

Erin’s got the final four Pros talking about the season. Sharna tells Erin that she considers it a gift to have been pushed in every way training with Noah, saying that she gets emotional every day. Allison Holker, Riker’s partner, understands this could be her only chance to make it to the final, and Val would like to give Rumer the gift of winning that mirror ball and share that victory with her. Derek calls Nastia a champion for her resilience but says even though there’s only one winner, all of the dancers should be considered champions.

Riker and Allison get the next recap package, where Riker says he’s 50/50, confident and nervous. He had a perfect night with two amazing performances, and Tom reveals that Riker Lynch and Allison Holker are SAFE – they’re headed to the finale!

Were you in the mood for a little history of dancing? Sasha Farber and Emma Slater present a cool montage video featuring 100 years of dance styles, from the Waltz to the Lindy Hop to Swing and Hip Hop. These little featureless are so much fun, especially with the transitioning of costumes and music!

Up for results? Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough get their recap, including the emotional Judge’s Pick that gave the pair a chance to dance together again. But are they safe? Nope – not yet, at least. They’re in jeopardy. The ballroom is pretty quiet – the audience is speechless.

The ladies of Dancing With The Stars can certainly lighten the mood for a few minutes at least. There’s a lot of pretty on the dance floor right now. A lot of rhinestones and sequins, too. They’re performing a futuristic routine to Jordin Sparks “I’m A Woman,” again choreographed by the amazing Mandy Moore.

The final four pros give their observations on the competition, sharing both strengths and weaknesses for Rumer Willis, Riker Lynch, Nastia Liukin, and Noah Galloway. Not surprisingly, they all agree – that trophy could belong to anyone.

In tonight’s edition of “Why Is He In the Ballroom?” Flo Rida performs “Going Down For Real (GDFR)”. It’s a concert in the ballroom! It’s always so weird to see the ladies of the show go from elegant ballroom dances to shaking their sequins on Flo Rida’s cat walk!

Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy are the final couple to learn whether or not they’ll be in jeopardy tonight, and a recap of their night tells me they should definitely not be. I wish we had gotten an encore of that Contemporary ballet – seeing even clips of it again remind me how amazing Bruno’s concept was! Surprisingly, to loud boos from the crowd, Tom reveals that Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy are joining Nastia and Derek and Noah and Sharna IN JEOPARDY.

Tom reveals the Time Capsules of each pair, a quick review of their training logs from Day 1. It’s been a long season, and the development of each pair is really illustrated when comparing clips of early rehearsals to mid-season routines and, especially, how each of them performed last night.

Have you heard there’s a sequel to The Disney Channel’s Teen Beach Movie? Had you heard there was a an original? Well, the cast is in the ballroom to perform “Gotta Be Me” from the second movie, choreographed by Christopher Scott! River’s brother Ross Lynch is the star of the movie as well as the dance – you can catch the premiere of the movie on June 26th. Do not adjust your tv – that’s just the sound of millions of squealing tweens who just lost it over that poppy performance!

We’re tight on time for the final results, but there’s still a moment for a shocker – Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess are SAFE!

So which pair will take the final spot in the finale? How is leaving tonight?

Nastia Luikin and Derek Hough are ELIMINATED!

While it’s no shock that Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy are SAFE, the scope of the results are a bit surprising any time Derek leaves the competition without a Mirror Ball. Nastia is disappointed not to make it to the finale, but thanks Len for giving them a “magical dance”.

Are you surprised by the results tonight? The Finale couples are all very strong in different ways, so it should be fun to see what concepts they come up with to play to their strengths.

    Our performers next week are:

Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess
Riker Lynch and Allison Holker
Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy
