Kelly Clarkson’s freshman daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, has received 7 Daytime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Talk Show. She is nominated for Outstanding Entertainment Talk show host. The rest of the noms are for technical categories such as directing and lighting.
A big rival in Talk Show and Host categories? Her old buddy Ryan Seacrest, co-host of Live with Kelly and Ryan. Live received a total of four categories including Outstanding Talk Show and Host. Ryan has co-hosted Live alongside Kelly Ripa since 2017.
Also, for the first time in five years, the Daytime Emmys will air on broadcast TV. CBS, looking for summer content will produce a remote version of the awards show to air on Friday June 26 at 8:00-10:00 ET/PT.
