Currently the American Idol season 7 winner is playing the show’s lead role, Charlie Price, a factory owner struggling to save his family business. He meets drag queen Lola who offers a unique opportunity to make the shoe factory a success.
David made his Broadway debut in Kinky Boots last Tuesday (April 3) and has been playing to mostly sold out crowds ever since. The singer performs “Soul of a Man” in Act 2, after Charlie has alienated nearly everyone in his life. Watch the acoustic performance below
