  1. Dave, I’ll get my address to you ASAP!

Way cute, those 2 are a great comedy team!

  2. I want MORE! Too short! Haha, this was adorbs. Why is it in black and white? Though next time, let’s get Dublin some spot lighting. Little fella was pretty much a black blob the whole time. Ah, I don’t care. It’s too cute.

  3. Sure, kinda cute. But he’s on the backside of his 20’s now and it’s apparent that he’s trying to look hipper and younger. Skinnier even? Well, anyway, good luck to him.

  4. Jeez David…I’m supposed to be on vacation from you while you’re on vacation from us. How the hell am I supposed to quit you when you keep being so damn charming? and adorable? and then you bring your stupid little dog into the picture just to up the cuteness factor by a thousand? It’s just thoughtless really. Don’t you realize I have things to do! I have reports to write! Presents to buy! Cookies to bake. I don’t have time to watch your stupidly awesome vlog eleventy hundred times!

    But I will.

  5. Ugh, can’t edit.

I like the hat on him- no worries about whether his hair is too flat, too thin, too dark, or covering too much of his forehead. It just pulls the hair out of the way so that we can see that face.

ETA: Balance, I think you speak for all of us.

  6. looks like he’s having a working vacation. he looks well rested. i guess he needs it, especially if he is planning another 100+ tours next year.

  7. dog is cute and David is not bad….who am I kidding he’s gorgeous !!
thanks for posting the vid mj :)

  8. I am not going to admit how many times I’ve watched that little v-log. Haha. Man, I have Cookie withdrawal for sure!

  9. Race for Hope!

Too cool– his page is up already? May is always a bad time (finals and such), but I’ll have to see if I can go… I SO wanted to go last year but I was on vacation. Speaking of finals. CRAP! Spending too much time procrastinating here. Back to studying… 2 more days, 2 more all-nighters. And then I’m free! Sigh, so jealous of Andrew Cook at the moment…

  10. Damn what a face that man has…Glad to hear about Race for Hope…let’s get on it!

  11. Glad to hear about Race for Hope’ ¦let’s get on it!

My friends and family are all quaking in fear as I gear up for big fundraising adventure. Don’t know if I can beat last year’s total but surely am going to try. Team Cook did AMAZING last year.

    I hope it doesn’t pour this year :) !!!

  12. The two DCs are so adorable! Don’t even want to say how many times I’ve watched this already.
I thought it was going to be a long dry spell without much David Cook, but he’s doing a great job keeping us entertained til DCTR2.

  13. But he’s on the backside of his 20’s now and it’s apparent that he’s trying to look hipper and younger.

Wow, now you’re over the hill once you hit 25!

That dog is nothing but a shameless chick magnet. :-)

  14. Wow, now you’re over the hill once you hit 25!

My own personal tastes but… I think most guys get better looking as they hit 30 or so… from boys to men and all that. :)

That’s sorta his usual garb, isn’t it? Back to the beanie – I actually like the beanie, gets his hair out of his face so we can see the pretty.

  15. Cuteness overload, indeed!

This the same room that Andrew did his twitvids from.

  16. As I may have said elsewhere, I had to watch this wonderful video twice (at least) – once to watch the doggie, and once just to stare at David’s face.
Thanks so much for this thread MJ!

and I’ll be a non-running member of the Race for Hope team again this year. (My father died from a brain tumor so it’s not as if I’m doing it just for Dave. My mother I lost to breast cancer – seems there’s plenty of fund-raisers & memorials for that. Wish we could beat ’em both).

  17. Aw… CC… You know what they say about “protesting too much”. Don’t resist, give in to the magnetism of David Cook, just like most of us here. ;)

  18. To two good lookin hip and young dudes, Dave and Dublin – DC Squared Rules! Love to see the reunification twixt man and his dog.

  19. Warning: Cuteness Overload Ahead!

Thanks for the warning! Still it’s too adorable!

  20. and I’ll be a non-running member of the Race for Hope team again this year.

I’ll be walking… I’ll have my 6 yr old along, but even if I didn’t, running and I don’t get along (if nothing else, old soccer back injury makes it suck – but I hate running anyway, lol, it’s like torture and I envy folks who love it). My neighbor across the street is only in his 40s with five kids and has brain cancer – he was diagnosed right before the race last year, really brought it home how it can happen to anyone. Hope we can raise even more $$ this year – last year they raised over $2 million with the race – amazing.

(I need to get back to proofreading but… I think I gotta watch the vlog one.more.time)

  21. I am definitely not making cute little puppy talk noises now, noooo.

  22. Awww, he and Dublin are so cute! You know he is going to be getting a whole bunch of addresses in the mail! LOL!

  23. And I love the black and white. Dublin looks smokin’ hot on my monitor and his master ain’t bad either.

  24. I am definitely not making cute little puppy talk noises now, noooo.

    Of *course* you’re not :)

Better than cooing at David, I guess. Hee!

  25. tierbee – oh I’ll be what the race calls a “virtual” runner, as I am too far away to do otherwise.

I love how Cookie is honoring his committment to this cause Just so everyone sees, here’s what he says on their site:

“After becoming involved with ABC2 and the Race For Hope last year, I was extremely humbled by the dedication of everyone involved, which makes my excitement exponentially higher for this year and the years to follow.

I look forward to not only HOPEFULLY beating my time from last year, but also to raising both funds and awareness for the purpose of eradicating this terrible illness.

Join my team and run with me in our nation’s capital or join me as a virtual runner. Let’s try for back-to-back titles as best fundraising team!

Thank you for all your help!”

  26. tierbee ‘“ oh I’ll be what the race calls a ‘virtual’ runner, as I am too far away to do otherwise.

Aw, wish you could be there :) ! I am glad I live close enough to do it, though this year might stay in a hotel in DC. It was… fun… trying to get my 6 yr old to DC from Northern VA that early in the morning!

  27. That was so cute!!!

    YAY!

  28. goodie, goodie, a Vlog from Cookie and Dublin!!!!!!!! I hope he is having a great time writing and preparing for the next release. Good to know he’s thinking about us (as we are of him) over the holidays.

  29. Yay indeed re the billboard listings. I think they were in the news a few days ago, but seeing them again made me happy all over again.

  30. I am definitely not making cute little puppy talk noises now, noooo.

    Of *course* you’re not :)

Better than cooing at David, I guess. Hee!

Oh, I’m not doing that either! (faaaaaaace nom nom nom)

    Such a cool cute goober.

  31. Aww, look at the adorable fuzzy face! Hell, Dubs ain’t bad either….

  32. I am definitely not making cute little puppy talk noises now, noooo

Hey buddy, you wanna go squirt in the dirt? Hehe. Think that was from the best radio interview ever– cuz it was one of those where we got video!

This the same room that Andrew did his twitvids from.

Oh yeah. Are all Andrew’s vid black and white too? Don’t remember. Just wondering why.

Okay back to work, this was a great pick-me-up :)

  33. Aw, wish you could be there :) ! I am glad I live close enough to do it, though this year might stay in a hotel in DC.

I’ll definitely be there, but I can’t decide whether to run or walk.

As for the Vlog, I love how Dublin gives David a little kiss right at the beginning. Lucky dog.

Oh yeah. Are all Andrew’s vid black and white too? Don’t remember. Just wondering why.

It’s film noir. So artistic. Heh.

  34. Absolutely adorable!!! :)
Wow, Dublin has gotten so big…

look at the adorable fuzzy face! Hell, Dubs ain’t bad either’ ¦

    Lol. Too cute!

  35. DC squared! The cuteness, y’all. Too much. It’s hard to believe that innocent little face belongs to the badass rockstah puppeh who allegedly trashed a hotel room.

  36. Adorable. David has to be one of the coolest AI alumni and winners. I’m so happy for his success and look forward to more from him.

Great that he’s doing the run again this year. Though I had no doubt that he would.

  37. He is just so gorgeous and sweet! He has such a baby face! By the way, you are welcome Cookie! I wil continue to support my favorite rocker ever! Does Dublin know how special his daddy really is? Those numbers are very impressive indeed! Thanks forn posting them.

  38. I hope he takes some downtime to recharge the creative battery and then gets to writing and recording. Greedy fan wants new cd.

  39. Love the dog, the guy, and the pet groomer ad at the top of the page with little paw prints. LOL

  40. He looks rested. I wonder how it will feel for him to just be in one place for 3 weeks. Bet it’s weird. Looking forward to what new music he and the band have in store.

This just in. I’d like to squeeze David Cook. Not in a creepy stalker, nasty way.

  41. Great Billboard numbers and a nice new holiday vlog. It’s good to be a Cook fan.

That looks like a music studio in the making doesn’t it? Where amazing record type things might be happening?? Wonder if we could put a secret mic in Dublin’s collar or something.

But he’s on the backside of his 20’s

And a very nice backside it is……

  42. I’m embarassed at how many times I’ve watched that 30 second clip <3

I was thinking the other day Christmas will probably be tough considering this will be the first year with Adam gone. Pets provide a lot of much needed comfort so seeing how adorable Dublin is with him warms my heart.

  43. I’m embarassed at how many times I’ve watched that 30 second clip <3

Don’t be. I’ve probably pwned you all. Mwahahaha.

  44. That was way too cute. I bet if he had our addresses, he really would send us cards. He also tweeted today about next year’s The Race for Hope. It is going to be on 2 May 2010 at the Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. and he’s hoping to beat his time.

This is what I admire so much about him (among so many other things). He keeps his promises & committments. You have to love the guy. He is such a nice guy!

  45. Trina – I was thinking the same thing. I am so glad he will be home for Christmas, surrounded by family and his buddy Dublin.

  46. Oh god! Ok now THAT? I’m officially finished. I’ve had enough cuteness for one day. Its like puppy squeeage!

  47. Speaking of Adam, that has been on my mind today too. This Christmas will be the first for 2 of my neighbors without their spouses. One lost a husband and the other lost a wife about a month ago and I can’t imagine how difficult it’s going to be for them or for David and his family.

I’m glad that David is planning to do the race next year. I’m glad he’s got someone adorable as Dublin to keep him company during the holidays. :)

more puppy and more cute. Awwww

That just melts my heart right there. <3

  48. Can anyone tell me the story behind the photo of Cookie in a suit and holding that adorable cavalier King Charles spaniel?^^^ It looks like a formal event.

  49. more puppy and more cute. Awwww

    http://twitpic.com/tjniw

    I’m dead. Overdosed on cuteness.

Speaking of Adam, that has been on my mind today too. This Christmas will be the first for 2 of my neighbors without their spouses. One lost a husband and the other lost a wife about a month ago and I can’t imagine how difficult it’s going to be for them or for David and his family.

Mmmmhmmm. Earlier this year I literally watched my grandpa die of cancer. In my bed. Which I still sleep on every night. I know it’s gonna be a toughie, but it’ll be alright. Ya just gotta keep your head up.

  50. I can’t edit because the words keep moving with the clock. O.o

Can anyone tell me the story behind the photo of Cookie in a suit and holding that adorable cavalier King Charles spaniel?^^^ It looks like a formal event

He got that dog as a gift for somebody. I can’t remember who. But he was at a wedding thus the suit.

  51. I bet if he had our addresses, he really would send us cards.

Seriously, I can’t believe he hand signed like 1000 Valentines Day cards for that casino show last year. I mean, when he does stuff like that, I’m like, c’mon now, are you for real? Are you that earnest and grateful and unjaded, etc. etc.?

And of course, this kinda stuff gets me:

Oh, on a happier note… everyone checkout http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/site/TR?pg=team&fr_id=1490&team_id=33690 May 2 is coming quickly!

I’m a big baby, so it seriously makes me choke up just to think about the loved ones I’ve lost to cancer, yet here he is, tweeting about the Race for Hope, as a “happy note”. Unbelievable, this guy (in a good way of course).

  52. Can anyone tell me the story behind the photo of Cookie in a suit and holding that adorable cavalier King Charles spaniel?^^^ It looks like a formal event.

Her name’s Edie – the picture was taken during a brief break in the tour, at the wedding of some close friends in Kansas City where he was the best man. He mentioned via Twitter when the pictures got out that the puppy was a gift for some good friends, and it was later revealed that he traveled with her to New York and gave her to Maureen and Stevie Van Zandt (of the Sopranos and E Street Band fame).

And that little pink baby blanket? Is just too much for words.

  53. Can anyone tell me the story behind the photo of Cookie in a suit and holding that adorable cavalier King Charles spaniel?^^^ It looks like a formal event

Actually he was at a charity event in KC, where they had an auction. He got Edie as a gift for some “good friends”, but I think it was later revealed (not sure how) that she went to Stevie Van Zandt and his wife.

  54. Awwww, too cute! As much as he (and his fans) love touring, glad he is spending time with family and resting up a bit.

  55. Thanks for the explanation seriously, ladymadonna, and smallie.

I was so impressed when he signed all those Valentines Day cards as well. What a sweet guy to do that for fans. I want one! lol!

  56. David Cook and puppies and all is right with the world. That.is.all.

  57. This old pic was brought up on DCO. It looks like Michael John’s dog.

Yep, that is his dog David Puddy. :)

  58. Oh my. If one could get drunk and pass out from the cuteness, I’d be lying on the ground right now. So adorable.

  59. Awww….aren’t they so adorable. Dublin sure has grown and Dave cracks me up when he says “good dog”. I don’t blame Dubs I’d give him a kiss too. I will be virtual runner again. Happy birthday Dave and Happy Holidays to you and yours. Is that in his house maybe ??

  60. That was definitely a “cuteness overload”. When I first saw the headline I thought David was in Ireland. ha ha Anyway David looks really good there.

  61. I love the comment under the David & Edie photo: “oh for God’s sake, can he just not be so lovable for one day.”

    Apparently he can’t. Heh!

I love how Dublin reaches up to lick David’s face the instant David starts speaking — even after being separated for a while, Dublin knows who he belongs to.

Also, thanks for the link to the Run for Hope — it would be awesome for David to match or beat his time, but even more awesome for the donations to meet or beat last year’s!

  62. Also, thanks for the link to the Run for Hope ‘” it would be awesome for David to match or beat his time, but even more awesome for the donations to meet or beat last year’s!

Does anyone remember how much we raised last year? I know we were the top team :) . Hopefully we can do that again!

  63. He also tweeted today about next year’s The Race for Hope. It is going to be on 2 May 2010 at the Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. and he’s hoping to beat his time.

    Be there or be square!

He got that dog as a gift for somebody. I can’t remember who. But he was at a wedding thus the suit.

So, when David innocently said, “my date was a real dog,” he ACTUALLY meant it! (Edie’s adorable.)

David Cook and puppies and all is right with the world. That.is.all.

Move over Cesar Milan! David Cook: Rockstar Dog Whisperer. (Bravo, you know you want this show.)

  64. Proving I’m real Cooktard – the puppy Edie he got at a fundraiser then gave her as present to Maureen VanZandt.
I only stalk him on the internet, really.

  65. That is a cute video. He looks quite fetching and so does Dublin. I loved it.

  66. adorable. i think i may have just broken the record for most consecutive views of that vlog without stopping. replay. replay. replay. replay. replay. replay. replay. replay.

  67. Absolutely nothing productive to add. Just had to join in the squeefest. Squeeeeeeeeeeee!

  68. I also have nothing productive to add, but I’m stressed about finals, and apparently, I like to compulsively come here on MJs and look at this thread to calm myself down LOL.

Okay I do have something to add: I like his face. That is all. I.LIKE.HIS.FACE. I snark on the tragic hair, but when it’s hidden in a beanie, I can focus on the face… and well, it’s 8 kinds of adorable. Yeah, so my revelation is this: my favorite things about DC = FACE + VOICE + PERSONALITY/CHARACTER. I’ll keep snarking on the hair, at-times the clothes, the tummy, but I don’t think I can ever find anything to criticize about those big three. They are my happy place… oy finals. Bye!
