Thanks to the Idolator blog, David Archuleta got the opportunity to meet up with one of his major influences–Alison Sudol, who performs as A Fine Frenzy. She inspired the title track on his new album, The Other Side of Down.
They talk music, her new book, and as a special treat, Alison performs David’s favorite song “Blow Away”. Check it out after the jump.

What makes the Fine Frenzy meeting so genius, is that David’s sound is moving away from the teen-oriented pop he started with on his debut album, towards the thoughtful indie/singer/songwriter vibe typified by Alison’s music.
