David Archuleta is ready for Christmas. At least the American Idol season 7 alum seems ready for the holiday in his new, upbeat “Christmas Every Day” music video.
The singer, old fashion mic in hand, performs as a group of excited kiddos dance all around him. The song is off David’s upcoming Christmas album, Winter in the Air set for a November 2 release.
The holiday album, on Shadow Mountain Records, is the American Idol season 7 alum’s eighth album overall and second holiday release, following Christmas from the Heart in 2009, according to Billboard magazine.
David began recording Winter in the Air in Nashville back in January. He wrote the first single from the album, “Christmas Every Day,” with Cooley and Dave Barnes. He told Billboard, “It was inspired by Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ and Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Underneath the Tree’,” he says. “Music usually comes out of me at a slow tempo but I wanted an uptempo song.” The song features backing vocals by fellow American Idol alum, Melinda Doolittle.
David is headed out on tour this fall. Check out all his tour dates HERE.
