Danielle Bradbery Squad Goals: “Friend Zone” Music VIDEO

It’s Danielle Bradbery and her squad, y’all. The Voice season 4 winner drops a music video for her new single, “Friend Zone.” In it, the BFFs hula hoop, kickball, skateboard and splash away, while they lecture some poor identified fellow on how to stay out of that dreaded “Friend Zone.”

Which, as a phrase, is pretty annoying, considering it was likely conjured up by some whiny dude, pissed he couldn’t get laid on demand. But I digress. Back to the video. Poor identified “Friend Zoned” dude will have to content himself with looking at cute young things as they swivel their hips, flirt with the camera, and splash around a pool in bikinis.

Women of country, I know it’s difficult to get on radio these days, but do you really have to resort to becoming the embodiment of all those blue eyed chicks in skin tight jeans from every bro country song ever? And the rapping? Do we really need to be rapping? Danielle Bradbery has a pure, sweet tone just made for country twang–not this half-assed, faux country hip-hop crap. (

(Not dissing Danielle at all, but country radio that continuously forces their artists into a very confined and narrow box.)
