Daily Numbers’ Thread – 01/10/17

Today’s thread is brought to you by the numbers 10, 41, 112 and 12K

Niall Horan from the UK X-Factor franchise introduces this week’s Hot 100 top 10. They just have a preview out so far this week and two meme songs top the chart (streams are overpowering airplay and sales). X-Factor’s Camilo Cabello’s “Bad Things” rises back into the top 10 at 10th.

The BB200 top 10 features 4 Soundtrack albums. While it is common for soundtrack albums to surge in January, 4 haven’t been in the top 10 for the last 18 years. Pentatonix continues to have the top Christmas album, but as expected, sales of Christmas albums are slim. “A Pentatonix Christmas” sags from 1st to 41st and the next Christmas album is also theirs: “That’s Christmas to Me” at 112.
