  1. I am so EXCITED that I now have Kris Allen’s new CD Horizons in my I-Tunes library! We have been waiting a long time and it has been totally worth it! Getting ready for the Stage-it show tonight. Congratulations to Caleb on his first CD since Idol. I wish Caleb and Kris the best!

  2. Caleb’s Tesstify is currently #9 on iTunes album chart. Was #7 earlier this morning. Kris is #21.

  3. I went to The Whiskey Jam last night where Kris made a last-minute surprise appearance. The place was absolutely packed — The Whiskey Jam is a weekly event at this bar, and I’m guessing that it is always super crowded (the place is right near the Vanderbilt campus).

The show started at 8:30 and Kris went on at 10:45. He played 3 songs — Young Love (a.k.a. Paul Simon), LLWD and Shut That Door. The crowd seemed to really be into it so that was good. (Adam Hambrick, his good friend who co-wrote It’s Always You, performed just before Kris and was great. Kris’ ex-guitarist, Andrew DeRoberts was playing electric guitar for Adam, so it was nice to see him play again).

Looking forward to his StageIt show tonight.

  4. That show is always packed. I think it was a smart place to have Kris make a surprise appearance.

  5. We knew this already but now it is officially confirmed :)

#COOL TOUR UPDATE: Y’all I’m gonna be going out with @BoyceAvenue this fall! It’s gonna be a blast and hope to see you there. Details soon.

  6. lol, you’re not sure if you’re happy? :)

They have tweeted stuff about Kris a couple of times recently, so obviously he still has his publishing deal

  7. They have a big YT following and seem to be very popular overseas (at least in Asia/Austrailia/NZ). I have no idea how popular they are in US or Canada. They just released an EP of original music

  8. What size venues are they playing? They do a lot of covers right?

  9. They do, but like I said they just put out an EP of all original music so they look to be going in that direction.

I haven’t checked out the other venues, but the one BA + Kris are booked to play here in Nashville is The Cannery Ballroom, which has a capacity of 1,000

  10. Well, that was interesting, :). Major technical fail for the first part of Kris’ StageIt show. He and Cale were playing away, totally unaware that there was no sound, lol. It took about 30 minutes to fix the problem, but once they did, the show went smoothly and Kris played a bunch of songs from the album. He even duetted with Adam Hambrick (his co-writer) on It’s Always You.

Tidbit from the show: the fall tour will be full band (including Cale)
