CMA Celebrity Softball Includes Fav Reality Show Stars

Every year country and various other music stars get together during the annual CMA Fest to play softball for a very good cause–City of Hope’s mission to find cures for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.

The 26th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game will take place Tuesday, June 7 at 3 p.m. at Nashville’s First Tennessee Park and includes participation by MANY of our favorite reality show stars.

Trisha Yearwood will sing the National Anthem followed by a special honor awarded to to label executive Bruce Hinton, presented by Big Machine Label Group’s Scott Borchetta. The former American Idol mentor credits Hinton as mentor and a big impact on his early days in the music business.

Newly announced participants include Craig Wayne Boyd, Bucky Covington, Nick Fradiani, Cassadee Pope, A Thousand Horses, Mark Wills and Brett Young.

Once again Team iHeart Country will face off against Team Grand Ole Opry. Full team roster below

iHeart Country (captain: Bobby Bones) — The Bobby Bones Show’s Amy and Lunchbox, Lauren Alaina (American Idol 10), Zach Brown (A Thousand Horses), Danielle Bradbery (The Voice 4 winner), Preston Brust (LOCASH), Bucky Covington (American Idol 5), Mickey Guyton (American Idol 7 Top 50), Bret Michaels, David Nail, Jamie Lynn Spears, Mark Wills and Brett Young.

Team Opry (captain: Grand Ole Opry VP/GM Pete Fisher) — Craig Wayne Boyd (The Voice 7 winner), Jessie James Decker, Graham DeLoach and Michael Hobby (A Thousand Horses), Charles Esten, Nick Fradiani (American Idol 14 winner), Vince Gill, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Lane, Chris Lucas (LOCASH), Scotty McCreery (American Idol 10 winner), Tristan McIntosh (American Idol 15), Cassadee Pope (The Voice 3 winner), RaeLynn (The Voice 2) and former Major League Baseball pitcher Barry Zito.
