As American Idol gets ready to announce their new judges’ panel on Wednesday, it looks like Simon Cowell will not be upstaged!
The UK Daily Mail reports that Cheryl Cole, a singer who currently sits on the UK X Factor judges’ panel will be joining Simon Cowell’s US version of the show, debuting on FOX in Fall 2011.
She’ll quit the UK X Factor, reports the Daily Mail, to move to Los Angeles. She’ll join her boyfriend, Dancing With The Stars pro, Derek Hough, and hopefully get a music career started here in the US.
Simon told Extra’s Teri Seymore recently that they he’s close to signing the first judge. I would not be surprised if he attempted to steal Idol creator, Simon Fuller’s thunder next week by making HIS announcement at around the same time.
