An awards show called the American Reality Television Awards had their eighth annual ceremony last night (July 7). The presentation was streamed online, featuring Dancing with the Stars alum Kel Mitchell as host.
We would not have noticed the presentation here at mjsbigblog if the American Idol Twitter account hadn’t mentioned that the American Idol judges panel, including Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, won Outstanding Judging Panel. Additionally, The Masked Singer won for Outstanding Competition Show.
Chayce Beckham delivers speech while fishing!
The American Idol judges were originally scheduled to accept their award, but current Idol winner Chayce Beckham did the honors instead. His taped message looks like it was filmed during one of his fishing trips! Watch his acceptance speech below.

“What’s going on everybody, It’s Chayce Beckham the winner of season 4 of American Idol,” he said as he sat, fishing rod in hand, the lake as backdrop. “And I’m accepting the award of Outstanding Judging Panel on behalf of our three judges, Katy, Luke and Lionel.”
Chayce continued, “And just want to say thank you to everybody who made the show happen this year, and especially the three judges…made it super special for me and gave me an opportunity to start my career and really enjoy what I’m doing with my life. So thank you everybody…we’re super happy to have this award.” (Starting at about the 1:10:10 mark)
“Piglet” congratulates The Masked Singer
Winner “Piglet” accepted Outstanding Competition Show for The Masked Singer. Most likely a rando wearing the costume, and not the actual celebrity winner, Nick Lachey. That speech begins at about the 9:48 mark.
