Holy crap!!! Remember that hilarious interview MTV’s Jim Cantiello did with Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid recently? Simon was so impressed he went right ahead and HIRED JIM FOR THE TEAM! AWESOMESAUCE. Jim will be introduced on The X Factor Pepsi Pre-show tonight at 7PM EST on The X Factor’s official site.

A new promo for the X Factor USA reveals how many contestants the judges will be cutting before the voting rounds.

And, just like the UK version, the Top 17 (It was 16 in Britain) will perform for the first time live in front of an audience. The judges will then choose 5 acts to go home, with the remaining 12 acts moving on to the voting rounds.

UPDATE: XFactorUSA tweets, “Breaking news! 5 of the 17 acts will be eliminated by the judges on 10/25. Find who’s out at 8/7C on FOX!”

FOX’s X Factor is attracting smaller audiences than anticipated, pushing down advertising rates and leading the network to compensate advertisers with additional ad time on the show, THR reports, citing the Wall Street Journal.

You watched the elimination tonight, now vote for your favorite X Factor finalist!

The X Factor Top 32 will be cut in half tonight. The remaining 16 contestants will go on to compete in the Live shows beginning with the big 2 1/2 hour “Wildcard” (whatever that means)

UPDATE: No changes to this list, but I thought I’d move it up front in case you wanted to take a peak at it. We’ll see if they are accurate or not when the X Factor reveals the Top 16 tonight.

I was hesitant to post these new X Factor spoilers, because the last batch had several errors. Unfortunately there just aren’t totally accurate spoilers for X Factor as we are used to receiving for American Idol. I think we are a little spoiled! Heh.
