Cassadee Pope Drops First Two Songs from Upcoming Album (Audio)

The Voice season 3 winner Cassadee Pope will release her new acoustic album, Rise and Shine on August 7. But for now, the country singer released two tracks, “Built This House” and “Let Me Go.”

Additionally, Cassadee has dropped lyric videos for both songs. She shared her thoughts on the “Let Me Go” clip with Rolling Stone magazine:

“I wanted this lyric video to capture the true feeling of this song: longing for freedom,” Cassadee said. “We decided to shoot it behind the staircase wires to give it that sense of entrapment which the lyrics talk about. It’s a very emotional song for me because it reminds me of a time in my life where I felt like I wasn’t accepted for who I am. I have a few songs on the album that are more reflective of where I’ve been rather than where I am in my life today, and this is definitely one of them.”
