Kelly Clarkson to headline game-day parties for Super Bowl LII ticket holders – Kelly Clarkson has been recruited to headline the NFL’s official Super Bowl warm-up parties on game day in downtown Minneapolis. The original “American Idol” will perform at the 52 Live bash on the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 4, a pre-game party for Super Bowl LII ticket holders at the Armory, two blocks from U.S. Bank Stadium. She will also sing for an even more select group of game attendees at another shindig that afternoon inside the stadium in the Delta 360 Sky Club. Riverside to honor memory of singing doctor Brandon Rogers – When Brandon Rogers died in a car accident last spring, the 29-year-old’s death cut short two dreams — the many things he hoped to accomplish as a physician, and the hearts he would lift as a singer. But Riverside Regional Medical Center, where Rogers was a resident in the family practice program, is taking steps to make sure his legacy lives on. In connection with Rogers’ family, the Riverside Foundation has begun a fundraising project to build a simulation laboratory that one day will bear his name. Rogers, who grew up in Portsmouth, had begun to develop a following as a singer as well.
