I am playing major catch up here. And really, it was a mistake to wait so long to post this Sam Smith cover, featuring Casey Abrams.
The American Idol season 10 alum joined forces with Scott Bradley & Post Modern Jukebox to perform a “Vintage New Orleans Style” rendition of “I’m Not the Only One.”
Casey fronts the band on upright bass and lead vocals, and really, I have nothing more to say. You need to experience this rolicking version of the Sam Smith ballad for yourself.
“The incredible talent that is Casey Abrams joined us for this New Orleans remake of Sam Smith’s latest hit, ‘I’m Not the Only One’,” wrote the band on their YouTube channel.
Looking over the page, it appears that the band covers big pop hits in a New Orleans Jazz style. Videos include NOLA style interpretations of tunes such as “Titanium,” (with Von Smith), “Shake it Off,” by Taylor Swift and “Anaconda” by Nicki Minaj.
