Today (Sept 14) is a big day for Carrie Underwood. The American Idol season 4 winner released her new studio album Cry Pretty.

The night before release day, Carrie kicked off her promo tour for Cry Pretty with a stop at the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. With New York City’s famed Central Park as a backdrop, the country star shared anecdotes about how a viral infection landed her in a German hospital, how her three year old son Isaiah is coping with his impending big brotherhood, thoughts on being a first time record producer, and more. Bonus: Carrie sings the “Ducktales” theme with Jimmy.

After, as fans in the audience waved brightly lit glow sticks, Carrie performed her new song  “Love Wins” live for the first time ever.

Additionally, Carrie played the “Name That Song” challenge with Jimmy and actors Blake Lively and Henry Golding. Carrie and Jimmy know their music. Blake and Henry not so much.

The new album, the first on the singer’s new label, Capitol Records Nashville, was co-produced by Carrie with writer/producer David Garcia. Listen to every cut now at Spotify.
