Carrie Underwood took to social media on Wednesday, posting a photo of herself in the studio. The American Idol season 4 winner has been keeping a low profile since a nasty fall in November. The singer broke her wrist and needed 40 plus stitches to her face. She’s looking pretty good these days, however, even if we are only seeing Carrie in profile.
By the way, she’s not scheduled to present or perform at next weekend’s Academy of Country Music Awards. However, she WILL be headlining at Nashville’s CMA fest in June.

In other news, Carrie was none too pleased after a questionable call cost the Nashville Predators hockey team a win against the Florida Panthers Tuesday night. The singer’s husband, Mike Fisher, retired from the Predators after last season brought them to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, only to lose to the mighty Pittsburgh Penguins. However, earlier this season the former team captain had a change of heart and rejoined the team. So yeah. Carrie has a dog in this hunt.
After the goal was waived off by referees due to “goalie interference” Carrie took to twitter to express her annoyance. The goal would have sent the game into overtime. Ultimately, Florida won the game 2-1.
I am seriously livid. @NHL , fix this.

Here’s the would-be goal in question. Hm. Preds fans can console themselves. According to the experts, the team is probably still going to win the Central Division, while the Panthers face tough odds despite the win, to nab a playoff spot out East.

Additionally, Carrie promises some great musical surprises during the Predators playoff run. She tells the Tennessean:
“Last year, I was so proud to be the Captain’s wife and loved being able to contribute to the excitement of the playoffs by coming out to perform the anthem at the first game,” Underwood said in an email to The Tennessean. “I had so much fun and wanted to continue to support the team by asking a few of my friends to get in on the action. Like all of the Preds fans, I’m thrilled that Mike is back on the ice and I love that we are able to bring the music and hockey worlds together this way.”
Much to the chagrin of the regular National Anthem singer (who would up eventually quitting the gig) Carrie was the first of many country stars to sing the National Anthem before Predators playoff games at Bridgestone arena.
