  1. I loved everything about this! Great, funny interview… Fun performance… *sigh* I just love it!

  2. Does she ever get enthusiastic about anything? Low key has its place and even keel is nice…but if I’m going to invest 5 minutes in listening to someone talk on TV I would at least like to walk away feeling like I’ve been introduced to the person and know a little bit about them.

Oh well…great singing voice, blah personality (on air, at least).

  3. Next week is Carrie week

I thought this week was Carrie week! Haha, I guess that was just for iTunes? The Carrie storm is kinda fun though.

  4. I don’t care what people say about her personality. This is the Carrie that I love.

Great interview, great performance and cute dress too! LOL

  5. Glad she’s not selling albums based on her personality. Great performance though.

  6. Aw, love Carrie… she wasn’t even my favorite her season (I frickin’ love Bo Bice) but she’s really impressed me with her music and her personality. I think she’s just awesome.

  7. Thanks MJ! Fun interview. There’s some stuff there backing up Nigel’s comment about Carrie having good comedic timing. Good performance too even though the sound system at R+K always sucks and it doesn’t seem like they ever let anyone perform a whole song.

Carrie also did an interview with WPLJ in New York this morning and she’s doing an interview with Gayle King on Oprah Radio too according to an Oprah Radio tweet. According to that tweet Gayle’s favorite Carrie song is Temporary Home. Good choice and I’d be pretty excited if Carrie got to sing that on Oprah.

  8. I guess people feel what they feel but I think she has a great personality…More reserved then say Adam but great nonetheless. Her live performance was outstanding and full of personality…I also have to say her enunciation is amazing…I always thought it was weird that I love her and Adam as my favorites..both so different…but today I noticed, like Adam, no matter what song she sings I can understand every word and the expressiveness in her songs is great too. I hope she sells millions and millions.

  9. A lil bit off topic but still Carrie, I hope mj wouldn’t mind.

Lady Antabellum is #1 now but it says TW: Oct 29 – Nov 4. And Carrie’s CC has #1 on her TW bullet. Does this mean it’s been a #1 already?

  10. I guess I’m delighted she has “no personality.” Just think how she’d kill everybody else if she actually had one… maybe she’s holding back for their sake…

Not officially. There are 2 charts (Billboard and Mediabase) that count different stations and Carrie’s currently locked in an extremely tight battle with Lady Antebellum for the top spot on both charts this week. I’d say the odds on Mediabase whose chart ends on Saturday (Billboard’s ends on Sunday) especially do not favor Carrie.

Of course this should have been a non issue except that Arista Nashville actually slowed down Cowboy Casanova a couple weeks ago to try to get her labelmate Brad Paisley’s single Welcome To The Future to #1. Now she’s in a battle herself when she should’ve had a week or two at #1 easy.

Yup. Carrie had almost a 5 million lead in audience impressions over Lady Antebellum, but labelmate and friend Brad is on a 10 consecutive #1’s streak, and hey, Carrie can easily get to #1, why don’t we let her simmer for a bit and push Brad? Or so the label thought. Not! Now it’s down to the wire for Casanova. Ugh! These “friendly labelmates” arrangements suck a lot.

  13. Carrie is one young beautiful girl. It is easy to be jealous to her success. Casanova is great song.

  14. Love Carrie! If there is someone able to export country outside of the U.S I think it’s going to be her (beside Shania Twain of course)
