Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley REALLY DID reveal the sex of Carrie’s baby during their CMA Awards monologue! Carrie’s husband, Mike Fisher, confirmed during the Nashville Predators’ practice on Monday morning, that he and his wife are having a baby boy!
Those of you who watched the event Sunday night probably remember Brad joking with Carrie about her pregnancy. At one point, Brad begged her to tell him if she was having a baby boy or girl. Carrie pulled him over and whispered the secret in his ear.
Later in the monologue, when Carrie was talking about how excited she was to be welcoming Garth Brooks back to CMA after many years, Brad exclaimed “Hey! We could name him Garth!”
An exasperated Carrie shot back, “What are you doing? What’s wrong with you? You gotta be kidding me. You kept that secret for a whole two minutes!”
I just blew it off as a joke. I never imagined Carrie would reveal the sex of her baby via a joke during the course of co-hosting the CMA Awards. But according to Mike, “She told Brad for the first time on stage. That was the truth.”
“I think that was the plan all along,” he said.
