Caleb Johnson introduced a brand NEW song last night when American Idol Live hit the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.
The American Idol winner performed “No Fighting Gravity,” an 80’s style power ballad.
“This is the first time we’ve done this song in front of anybody,” Caleb said to the crowd. “You guys are the first people to get to hear it.”
Although he doesn’t say, I’m assuming the tune will be a cut on the singer’s debut album, Testify, due out on August 12.
After Caleb won the show, he told reporters, “The record itself is going to be really really heavy and convicted and it’s going to have a lot of soul and a lot of depth. It’s going to be a big powerhouse monster record that I cannot wait to let people hear.”
