The Voice coaches took over NBC programming last night to promote the upcoming season of the singing competition, as well as their own projects. Adam Levine and Maroon 5 performed their new single, “Maps” on America’s Got Talent, Gwen Stefani appeared on Late Show with Seth Meyers and Blake Shelton dropped by The Tonight Show to chat with Jimmy Fallon and perform his new single, “Neon Lights.”
Watch Blake Shelton and Jimmy Fallon play “Random Object Football Toss” in honor of the NFL kickoff game airing Thursday night on NBC. A mannequin head with wig, footlong sub, beer pitcher full of peanuts, seven…no EIGHT layer dip and the 2 point “moneyball” a bullhorn.
While Blake calls the game “bullcrap” each time he loses a toss, Jimmy plays so badly, that the singer keeps reminding him that it’s his show, and doesn’t have to air the footage.
Jimmy calls Blake the “best judge out there.” He also impersonates him hilariously throughout the interview. At one point, Jimmy turns around his chair to mimic him choosing singer and singing “Neon Lights,” and provides a truly unique interpretation of the lyrics. “You’re high right now, aren’t you?” Blake says.
Blake teaches Jimmy how to treat his truck. The takeaway? DON’T CLEAN IT. Plus, Blake makes fun of Jimmy’s faux country lifestyle.
